Beer blogging resolutions

on

While I am still working on the resolutions for my real life (ie: Avoid negativity in 2018) I can definitely nail down some big picture goals for this space on the internet.  Here they are in no particular order.

Visit one new-to-me brewery a month.

For some, this might seem like an easy task but I have struggled with this one lately.  We have more than enough breweries within 15 minutes of our home and we have seen them all!  Every once in a while, I need to drag my butt and my camera somewhere I haven’t been and enjoy a beer.  And enjoying a beer from a new brewery at a restaurant isn’t going to cut it here!  I need to go to the source and enjoy some beer and fun facts from beertenders who love the product!

Create something for this little corner of the internet every week.

I have neglected this space for quite some time.  I started as a blogger with no real direction.  I eventually discovered my niche and now I need to explore it!  Without knowing what this goal will turn into, I have started thinking about ways to cook with beer, beer events to attend, and ways that beer connects people to their community.  I also think that this will be a great way to share how we homebrew!  Whatever this ends up looking like, I hope that I can find a way to really show how beer is more than four ingredients!

Take out my camera every week!

This is part of a goal for this blog (see resolution above) as well as my personal life.  When looking to do a year in review for myself, I noticed a lot of cellphone pictures of things and not of people.  It is high time I drag out my DSLR camera and take pictures of what I am doing and who I am doing it with.  I started at Christmas and got some great shots.  Now I have to keep the streak going!

Here’s to 2018 and all the amazing adventures ahead!
